If you’re looking to enjoy a booze-free Witches’ Brew Sangria, all you have to do is take out the wine and the liqueur, and you’re all set! Feel free to substitute with sparkling grape juice, if so desired.
Since sangria is pretty easy to make, I wanted to include a few extra touches on this drink. I made specialty ice cubes with fruit frozen inside of them (blackberries in the witch hats, oranges in the jack ‘o lanterns), and also decided to include the luster dust, to give the drink that swirly, magical look. While the ice cubes melted pretty quickly and didn’t make much of an impact, the luster dust turned out to be an awesome addition and totally changed the look of the drink! When serving, you definitely want to use a clear glass to show it off – just make sure to stir occasionally as the sparkles settle to the bottom of the glass pretty quickly.
For this recipe, we went with a semi-sweet Pinot Grigio since the fruit juices were already pretty sweet. You could also amp up the dryness by going with a red wine, like Pinot Noir or Cabernet – it’s totally up to you! The great thing about sangria is that everyone has their preferred method of making it, so feel free to add or substitute any other wines, liqueurs, or juices as you like! Cheers!
