What started as a simple idea for an aural haunted house back in our first year has become one of our favorite traditions on the blog – and this year, we even got some of you in on the creative process to help us choose the Atmosfearic Soundscapes III key art!

And now, here we are – staring down our third foray into the mysterious and macabre. Wondering what’s in store? Our journey this year kicks off with unsettling strings that give way to an ominous beat and a bassline that doesn’t let up, setting the mood for the frights to come. You’ll explore both the legendary region of Transylvania and a haunted manor like no other before getting lost in an enchanted realm of childhood nightmares.

These dark lullabies lead to an all-too-familiar rabbit hole and if you can escape this twisted land again without going mad, you’ll be regaled by the stories of one of the greatest Gothic writers of all time: Edgar Allan Poe. Storytime ends and you’ll find yourself wandering the grounds of a wicked carnival, the lights over the midway casting shadows in every direction. Survive the dangers lurking between the striped tents, and only the haunted halls of an ancient castle with a ghostly symphony echoing from deep within stand between you and freedom.

Up for the challenge? Then cue up Atmosfearic Soundscapes III and get this party started! Stay the course, beware the voices calling from the shadows, and you’ll be just fine… won’t you?
